If you find that you are being discriminated at work because you have to attend to your children's urgent needs or since you told your boss you are pregnant they start raining criticism on your work and you feel it is unfair and it is because they are trying to get rid of you, you may have a human rights complaint. Call your local human rights office and speak to an officer, tell them your story and they will tell you if you have a possible complaint.
It's time that employers partner with Canada to raise the population level naturally and not having to do so through immigration. When Canada brings immigrants to do the work Canadians raise their cry of outsourcing their jobs or immigrants taking away their jobs. Well, if your employer is punishing you because you are pregnant, fire you because you have small children, don't want to accommodate you being a parent and a worker at the same time, then we will have to import people to do the work that Canadians cannot do or there are not enough Canadians to fill the vacancies.
Building Canada is a partnership and employers ought to be front and centre in this regard.
Speak out and speak up when you are being discriminated. Only by filing complaints will employers know that their behaviour is unacceptable to Canadians.
Speak your piece. You are safe here.
